Make Your Character Active

“Is anyone listening to me?” I shout against the loud chatter at the dinning table. My husband sits next to me in an awkward silence. Of course my sister had to make her presence known once again with another dramatic life story of hers. She says her boyfriend cheated on her again, all she does is complains about that fact but never does anything about it. I tell her to break up with him but of course that goes in one ear and out the other. To add onto the annoyance of family dinners the dog bit into the turkey that I had prepared for all day. Now nobody will even touch it, even though I had throughly chopped out the tainted turkey part. My family continues to complain about the night and all I want is to have a nice family thanksgiving but they ruined that for me. “You are all so unthankful” this time I stood up from my spot, threw down my napkin and shouted it from the top of my lungs. All eyes gazed up at me, all with concerned looks like they finally cracked me and I’m now going in...

Confession

Dirt covers the little fighter’s white suit, around his waist he wears a holster, his guns would sit in them if he wasn’t always holding them. He never switches his standing position as he stands in the dirt, his elbows are bent at a 90 degree angle with the two guns pointed up in the air, he has broad shoulder, yet a slim waist, and his leg stand apart as his feet point towards either direction. Often times he will fall over all of a sudden because his balance is not normal. His feet are not be planted the right way on the ground so even a little poke with one’s finger could make him topple over. He was a lifeless man, who couldn’t do anything by himself. Yet, he was very much loved by a little boy, named Tommy. He was only eleven but Tommy would take care of the little fighter man as best as he can. Tommy is his master, and because of that he makes the little fighter do whatever Tommy desires and his imagination for all of that still runs wild at eleven years old. Tommy’s mot...

Mythical Storytelling

It was a Saturday morning, Jesse and Kenny were begging their parents to let them go sleep over at Johnnys. Their parents were a little hesitate at first because they didn’t like how far Johnny lived from the city. Johnny lived on a farm with fourteen acres. Jesse and Kennys parents finally agreed and allowed the boys to go over there for the night, only if they cleaned their rooms first. The boys cleaned their rooms faster than ever before. They packed their Star Wars suitcases, and threw them in the car. Once their parents approved of the room, they headed to Johnnys house.        When they got to Johnnys, the boys gave their parents a hug and kiss and ran into the house. Johnny, Kenny, and Jesse all went downstairs. They decided to build a big fort to sleep in for the night. They threw blankets everywhere. Johnnys mom called them up for dinner. Johnnys mom asked the boys what they had planned for the night. All the boys could think about was pl...
