Mythical Storytelling

    It was a Saturday morning, Jesse and Kenny were begging their parents to let them go sleep over at Johnnys. Their parents were a little hesitate at first because they didn’t like how far Johnny lived from the city. Johnny lived on a farm with fourteen acres. Jesse and Kennys parents finally agreed and allowed the boys to go over there for the night, only if they cleaned their rooms first. The boys cleaned their rooms faster than ever before. They packed their Star Wars suitcases, and threw them in the car. Once their parents approved of the room, they headed to Johnnys house. 

    When they got to Johnnys, the boys gave their parents a hug and kiss and ran into the house. Johnny, Kenny, and Jesse all went downstairs. They decided to build a big fort to sleep in for the night. They threw blankets everywhere. Johnnys mom called them up for dinner. Johnnys mom asked the boys what they had planned for the night. All the boys could think about was playing 2K all night long. Johnnys mom reminded the boys that they can’t have any caffeine after dinner. After dinner, the boys ran downstairs and turned the playstation on. Johnny and Jesse got to play first. While they were playing, Kenny snuck upstairs and stole three root beers from the refrigerator. He ran downstairs as fast as he could so he wouldn’t get caught. When he got downstairs he showed Johnny and Jesse what he got. Johnny was very upset because he didn’t want to get into trouble. Johnny expressed to Kenny that he will not be drinking it and if they get caught with it, he was going to tell his mom that Kenny took them. Kenny and Jesse drank the pop well they destroyed each other in 2K. Johnny was getting very sleepy and wanted to turn the game off and get some rest. Jesse and Kenny told him that he can sleep and they will turn it off when they get tired. After a couple minutes, Johnny was sound asleep on the ground. Jesse and Kenny weren’t even close to being tired because of the pop. 

    Kenny and Jesse were in the middle of game when they saw a big flash outside of the blanket fort. Jesse told Kenny it was probably Johnnys older brother just trying to scare them, so they continued to play their game. A couple minutes later, they see another flash. The start to get a little freaked out. They decide to take the blanket fort down so they can see all around them. As they were in the middle of the game, they heard footsteps coming down the stairs. They quickly turned the tv off and covered themselves with a blanket, pretending to be sleeping. They heard someone whisper to them. Jesse peaked his head out of the blanket and realized that it was Johnnys older brother Jacob. Jesse told Kenny that it was just Jacob and he can come out from under the blanket. Jacob asked the boys if they saw the bright flash outside. The boys looked at each other in fear because they thought that Jacob was the one doing it. They explained to Jacob how they saw the light but thought it was him just trying to scare them. Jacob laughed at their stupidity. They were all sitting int he living room talking about it and out of nowhere, there was another flash. The boys asked Jacob what they should do. Jacob said they should go outside and investigate. The boys thought it was a stupid idea because they literally live in the middle of nowhere so if something were to happen, it would take hours for help to arrive. Jacob promised everything would be alright and told the boys to just stay behind him. They all got their shoes on and got ready to check it out. As they were waiting by the door, Jesse ran to go grab his camera. They began to slowly slide the door open, trying to be as quiet as possible because they didn’t want to wake anyone in the house up. Once they made it outside, they started walking towards the middle of the backyard. Jacob looked up in the sky and pointed to a big circular thing hovering in mid air. Kenny and Jesse began to panic, thinking about how much trouble they would get into if their parents ever found out about this. As they were all standing there, the bright light shined down on them. Jesse and Kenny looked at Jacob, he was floating about two feet off the ground. They then looked at each other and realized, they were floating too. They all started to panic as they noticed they were floating higher and higher off the ground….
