Spooky stories for Halloween

 Horror premises:

1. Fisherman goes on a fishing trip alone to cope with a divorce, along the way he encounters a Lovecraftian horror that plays against his weakened mental state.
2. A couple is going through a rough patch in life when they visit a Catholic marriage counselor, he in turn discovers a malignant force that is attached to the couple and is feeding off of their negative emotions
3. A teenager escapes from an abusive and controlling household, after his escape he takes shelter in an abandoned home where he is eventually trapped with a demonic entity

Horror premise #2

            A woman’s body is splayed out on the hardwood floor and underneath her is a large pool of blood. George slowly walks up to the body, keeping a keen eye on his surroundings for whatever has committed this act of brutality. George kneels down next to the body and he notices that Rigor Mortis has already set in and that her skin is ice cold to the touch. He flips the body over and he screams in horror as he realizes that this woman is in fact his wife, Emily. He falls to the floor and frantically shuffles backwards while wailing. After he gets a little distance George mutter, “What happened Emily? Who could have done this to you!?” The hair on George’s arms stand straight up similar to when your arm gets too close to a TV and as he slowly looks to his right, he notices something that shakes him to his very core. He sees himself in the mirror donning a sick and twisted smile with blackened eyes. George looks down to his hand and he notices he is holding a bloodied knife.

George wakes up in a frantic panic, screaming with cold sweat rolling down his face. As George shakily gets up out of his bed, he grabs his flask and takes a swig of his Irish Whiskey, he sighs in relief as he feels the alcohol ever so slightly burn his throat. As he gets up and walks down the stairs into the kitchen, he sees his wife with an annoyed look on her face, akin to a mother about to scold a child. 

“You’re still not dressed? You do know that we’re supposed to see our marriage counselor at the church.” States Emily.

“I know Emily but give me some time. I didn’t have the best sleep you know.” Replies George.

Emily huffs in response and simply tells George to get ready. After George gets ready, he and Emily head out to their church. Along the way George feels the very same horrifying presence as his hairs begin to stand up and goosebumps are littering his pale skin. He looks at his rearview mirror to find nothing. As the couple arrive at the church, Emily tells George not to act sarcastic and to try to control his passive aggressive demeanor to which George reluctantly agrees. 

As George and Emily enter the church, they are greeted by their priest and counselor, Father Matthew. “Come with me you two. Let us start our session.” Says Father Matthew.”

As they enter Father Matthew’s office and the session begins, George and Emily start to argue about their issues, ranging from George being laid off and unable to find work, and Emily’s inability to bear a child, alongside a detrimental financial situation that never seems to improve. 

As the sessions grows in length, Father Matthew senses a sinister presence in the room. As he clutches his cross around his neck he sees a ghastly demonic entity between George and Emily in a state of ecstasy. Father George starts to pray to his God in an attempt to rebuke the being. The demonic entity responds by hurling the Father across the room and yelling at the couple and priest in an unknown and frightening language. The Father continues with his prayer as the demonic force continues his rampage in the room, than all of a sudden it comes to a stop. Emily looks around in a frightened daze and finds her husband laying down unconscious and the priest up against the wall with his neck bent at a strange angle. As she attempts to wake he husband up, she feels a sharp and cold pain across her neck. Emily looks to her husband and see’s nothing in his eyes but the purest of black. The entity now in possession of George stands back up and looks to the mirror in Father Matthews office and it sees George on the other side. Knowing the outcome, the entity forms a sick and twisted smile.
