A Story in an Hour or Less (Part 1-3)

Part 1:

A: “I have to tell you what happened this morning”

B: “About when Ashley stole your camera?”

A: “Well yes that relates, but I didn’t tell you what I saw when she gave it back to me, did I?”

B: “No, what did you see? Did she destroy it? Did she take her nudes on it?”

A: “That wouldn’t surprise me but no, it was worse and I have no idea what to do about it”

B: “So are you going to tell me or keep me guessing?”

A: “I don’t know, I’m scared to tell anyone.”

B: “Why did you even mention it to me then?”

A: “I mentioned it because I want to tell you but I don’t know if I should get you involved”

B: “I’m already involved because you brought it up”

A: “Fine, but can I count on you to help me?”

B: “Depends on what you are wanting me to do”

A: “So yesterday Ashley asked if she could borrow my camera. She said she wanted to do a photoshoot with her best friend, so I let her.”

B: “You told me that already”

A: “Yes, I know but I’m leading up to what happened”

B: “Okay, go ahead”

A: “Anyway it wasn’t until around midnight that Ashley got home that’s when she put the camera on my nightstand and crawled into my bed. I was half asleep so I didn’t bother looking through my camera until she left for work this morning.”

B: “Is this where the story gets interesting?”

A: “Am I wasting my time telling you? I can figure out how to deal with this on my own.”

B: “Calm down I’m just giving you crap. What did you see on your camera?”

A: There was nothing on my camera besides this black photo, however it wasn’t completely black I could see an outline of something in the photo. So out of curiosity I took that photo to be edited and when I enlarged it and fixed the lighting I saw I man lying dead on the dirt”

B: “that’s funny”

A: “No I’m serious. The man was covered in dirt and blood, it was hard to tell because of the photo but I know what I saw there. I don’t know what to do, but she must’ve taken that photo.”

Part 2:

James rushed to meet Elijah at his apartment. Elijah’s apartment was on the first floor in a sketchy part of town. There were piles of garbage sprawled outside the apartment complex. The bricks on the backside of the building were covered in vines up to the third floor. When James arrived he was out of breath and his gray sweatshirt was covered in sweat. Even though his mouth was draped open trying to catch his breath, his eyes still showed his concern. Elijah’s apartment was unfurnished besides the few lawn chairs in front of the tv that laid on the ground. Elijah didn’t like to be in a mess so even though his apartment was falling apart he did everything he could to keep the place clean and dust free.

  2. The relationships James holds up in high regards is the relationship with  his girlfriend, Ashley. They’ve been with one another for six years, and James was going to ask her to marry him. Now after seeing the photo she believes Ashley took on his camera he doesn’t know what to do about his relationship with his girlfriend. Elijah is James’ best friend, who James believes he can trust with his whole heart to be able to confide in him about what he believes Ashley has done.
  3. James is a photographer, he’s one of the best in his city.
  4. James is most afraid of losing his girlfriend because of what he saw on his camera.
  5. In this moment James hopes his girlfriend is innocent and has done no harm, he wants the help of Elijah to understand if his girlfriend really did any harm.
