Trauma
Madelyn was playing with her friends in the ball pit having the time of her life. Throwing balls at each other, burying each other, and trying to juggle. Then it was time for dinner-
“Kids, it’s time to eat”, Jenna yelled, trying to gather all the kids.
“We are coming mom!” Madelyn said, running to the table.
They all gathered around the table and got ready to eat the delicious greasy pizza.
“Hey Kids”, The mascot said as he turned the corner.
“OH NO!, AHHHH.” Madelyn yelled.
Madelyn, hiding under the table, crying in fear.
“I heard someone is turning nine years old, where’s the birthday girl?”, Chucky asked the group.
Nobody knew where Madelyn was. Jenna looked all around until she saw little feet peeking out from under the table.
“Madelyn, what on earth are you doing under the table and why are you crying?”, asked Jenna.
“Mom, I’m not coming out from under this table. That thing is terrifying.” Madelyn said with tears streaming down her face.
“You need to come out. This is your birthday party and they are asking for the birthday girl! You’re making a fool out of yourself right now. I planned this whole birthday party for you and you won’t even come out from under the table so they can sing you happy birthday. This is very embarrassing!” Jenna expressed.
Madelyn begins to cry even harder.
“I am not coming out from under this table until that thing is gone! Tell them it’s someone else’s’ birthday and they can sing to them.”, Madelyn said as she was hoping her mom wouldn’t make her come out from under the table.
“Fine. You can stay under there but we are leaving right after this because this is unacceptable behavior. I know it’s scary honey, but you have to know, there is a actual person under that costume.” Jenna tried to explain to Madelyn.
The Mascot left and Madelyn came out from under the table. They left Chucky Cheese and it turned out to be the worst birthday party ever.
